Twelve 5th grade students brought lunches to the library to take part in the first Sunset View Book Club. Patrick Carman's new book, Skeleton Creek was the chosen story to read. Mrs. Malley read the story to the students during lunch and they had a great time watching the videos and discussing the happenings throughout this scary story. When the book was finished, Patrick Carman agreed to be involved in a web conference with our students. They got to ask him questions about the story and characters, hear the first paragraph of his sequel to the Skeleton Creek , and share their feelings about the book. The students felt very priveleged and wish to thank Patrick for taking time to talk and discuss his delightful tale! They can't wait for the sequel.
