Since 1982, Washington State students have annually selected a book to win the Washington Children’s Choice Picture Book Award (WCCPBA). Kindergarten – Third grade students may vote on this award after hearing the books read to them by their librarian or classroom teacher. Fourth and fifth grade students at our schools have read the books independently and competed to determine which team remembered the most about these books.
